Many of you are already aware of the recent closing of greyhound racing tracks around the country. As a result of these closings and the country’s recent economic crisis, more hounds than ever are now waiting for their forever homes at adoption groups like Greyhound Friends Inc.
During April, which is National Adopt-a-Greyhound Month, The Greyhound Project will be spreading the message of greyhound adoption awareness, in the hopes that 100 percent of the greyhounds waiting at adoption groups find caring homes.
Towards that end, public service announcements about greyhound adoption will be airing on television stations across the country. One of the announcements features a handsome black greyhound named Cal looking for a long term commitment. You can view the spot on YouTube here:
Please consider passing the link on to your friends, family members and colleagues, so that the message of greyhound adoption might spread far and wide. In addition, please consider contacting your local television station to ask them to run the PSA.
